The newly-appointed deputy commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh’s Capital Complex, Vikram Singh Malik, on Monday handed over 10 bikes to Capital SP Tumme Amo for further distribution to the traffic in-charges of the district.

The motorcycles have been distributed to ensure efficient discharge of duties by the traffic police, an official press release informed.

Deputy commissioner Malik hoped that use of the motorcycles would make it convenient for the traffic police to keep a check on traffic violators and to ensure that traffic rules and regulations are followed in action.

“Moreover, it would also ensure faster communication during traffic chaos or wherever required,” the DC said.

Malik has further appealed to the denizens of Capital Complex to cooperate with the administration and police and to abide by the set down traffic rules and regulations, the press release added.
