Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma has announced that his upcoming cabinet meeting will be held outside the state capital, Shillong.
This is , perhaps, the first ever cabinet meeting to be chaired by the chief minister outside the state Secretariat.
Conrad took to Twitter to make this announcement on Sunday.
Last year, chief minister Sangma had announced that his government would hold cabinet meetings in different districts on a rotational basis.
“With the objective of taking governance closer to the people, Government has decided to have Cabinet meetings on a rotational basis in different districts. Cabinet meeting for the first time will be held in Tura, on the 10th of June 2019. Others districts to follow ….,” Conrad said in a post on Twitter.
