Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Saturday visited Ladakh along with defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman to campaign for BJP candidate Jamyang Tsering Namgyal.

The chief minister during the campaign also met the BJP party workers from Arunachal Pradesh who are campaigning there.

The chief minister in his speech talked of the similarities in lives of people living in the Himalayan region.

He extolled over the cultural similarities of Tawang and Ladakh.

He said Tawang is the birthplace of 6th Dalai Lama.

Khandu also told the audience that he would support the genuine demands of the people of Ladakh with all the MPs of Northeast.

He informed the people of Ladakh of the work done by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government in Arunachal and Northeast and requested people of Leh and Kargil to vote for the BJP candidate so as to bring development in the region of Ladakh.
