“The black flag day is the beginning of our agitation against the adamant attitude of the state government towards the demand for immediate implementation of the ILP to check influx and illegal immigration into the State,” he stated in the press release.

He said that the confederation would soon announce other agitational programmes to further pressurize the government to implement the ILP in the State.

“We appeal to the people of the state to wear black badges or put black flags on their vehicles as a mark of protest against the failure of the government,” Marak further stated.

Marak reminded that the deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong had assured the delegation of the confederation that the State Government would take necessary action but nothing has been done in this regard till date.
