The advisor of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), Akhil Gogoi, while addressing the open session of All Bodoland Minority Students Union (ABMSU) at Salakati in Kokrajhar district on Sunday said that only section of contractors had been sustained in BTC but indigenous communities are not witnessing the pace of development.

He said the government of Assam led by Sarbananda Sonowal who is also the head of Home department and BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary had failed to fulfill the aspiration of the people of the region. He alleged that the government was involved in the killing of nationalist leaders to make the society voiceless against the misdeeds of the government.

Gogoi said the president of the ABMSU Lafiqul Islam was killed by the government agency for which the perpetrators are yet to be arrested despite the case has been handed over the CBI.

Journalist Parag Kumar Das was also killed by the government agency for which the culprits are not arrested till today, he said, adding that the government has been involving in such heinous act on nationalist leaders just to stop their voice against the wrong doing of the government.
