Marwari Yuva Manch, Dibrugarh is organizing 11th edition of the Kite festival in association with JSB Infrastructures at Jogers Park on the banks of Brahamaputra river on Sunday.

“We are organizing the festival for the 11th year in Dibrugarh. Every year we have organized the festival and got a good response. It’s open to all so anybody can come here and enjoy flying kites. Our main objective is to preserve the age old tradition of flying kites. The festival also aims at highlighting the beauty and significance of tradition and culture,” said Abhishek Khemka, Vice president of organizing committee. He said that they have brought the kites from New Delhi.

Khemka said Commanding officer of 9th Rajputana Rifles Colonel Mukesh Pandey will inagurate the festival at 10 am on Sunday.

“We have brought colourful kites from New Delhi to attract the young generation. We hope that everyone will enjoy the kite festival and those who have missed family picnics this season, will have a carnival-like ambience,” Khemka added.
