Assam Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi greeted the people of the state and outside on the occasion of Bhogali Bihu.

In a message issued on Sunday, Governor Prof Mukhi said, “Let me take the pleasure to greet my brothers and sisters of Assam and outside on the occasion of Bhogali Bihu. The spontaneous celebrations of this festival of feast and merriment in the backdrop of agricultural harvest, essentially shows an intrinsic relations of the people of Assam with agriculture which is the mainstay of the people of the State.”
He also said, “Hope the flames of Mejis consign all the negative vibes and usher in peace, prosperity and fulfillment all around the society.”
He also said that the celebrations of the Bihu by the people irrespective of all class, caste and creed prove the festival’s universal character which strengthens the bond of unity and camaraderie in the society.
