A six-day long Women and Youth Convention of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party has started at Rolu in South Sikkim on Tuesday.
The convention was inaugurated by SKM chief coordinator and MLA Sonam Lama. The convention has been divided into two phases, in which the youth convention will be held till Thursday in the first phase and 10th Rolu Puja will be held at Rolu Mandir on Friday.
In the second phase, women convention will be held Saturday and Sunday, informed a SKM press release.
The release informed that youths in thousands have registered their names for the convention on Tuesday.
The inaugural day has witnessed cultural presentations and party chief coordinator and MLA Sonam Lama declared the starting of the convention, which was followed by speech competition for youths on ‘Sikkim Ma Parivartan Huna Kina Khancho Cha’, it is informed.
The release further informed that the convention was also attended by senior leaders and workers of the party.
