Agartala Military Station organized an ex-Army men rally in Chanmari area in the outskirts of Agartala of Tripura on Sunday.

The main aim of the rally was to provide under one roof several facilities including free health check-up, awareness about various facilities and schemes of the government for them and their family members.

Rite Debbarma, a participating member of an ex-serviceman said, “It is helping to solve our problems like health-related or pension problems and if we raise these issues here that are solved. Moreover, here we are getting together to know each other and also raise the problems and get the solutions besides the officials are also advising us on the various facilities.”

Beside health facilities, the organizers had also asked the bankers to be present there to give an instant solution to the problem regarding their pension and other bank-related matters

During the programme, the ex-servicemen were also felicitated and to show that their sacrifice has not been forgotten beside to show that the India Army is with them.

Another participant Debi Laxmi said, “I came to know about various facilities we can avail stipend for the school going children beside they can get free from the government. So I got information about these facilities after coming here and it is a great help.”

Several ex-servicemen and their widows and family members from throughout the State participated in the rally and expressed that more such rallies should take place and which is a great help for them.
