Classical pianist Nise Meruno from Kohima, Nagaland will be performing at the main reception of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal on December 13 in Mumbai.

This is not the first time Nise is performing for the Piramal family; he has enjoyed a close association with them for over a decade now, especially with Swati Piramal, for whose daughter Nandini’s wedding Nise performed at the Royal Palace, Jaipur in 2009.

Over the years, Nise has performed for the Piramal family and the Piramal Group numerous times, and has also met the Ambanis on many such occasions, reports The Morung Express.

In a first for a Naga musician who will share the stage with the world’s finest at the wedding of a scion of one of the world’s biggest corporate houses, Nise humbly says, “I really thank God for His wonderful favour upon me, and I’m glad that I get the chance to also take some other Naga musicians with me, and give them an opportunity to be heard by some of the world’s most influential people.”

Nise will be traveling and performing with Nourhevilie Khate, Violinist with a Masters Degree in Music from the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatory, London, Thunglamo Ngullie, Grade 8 Vocals in Classical and Rock School, London and Yanzo Kikon, Grade 8 Violinist from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
