Hamro Sikkim Party has suspended its member, Gopal Pathak on Friday, who was arrested by the police after allegedly posting and circulating fake leaflets in the name of the Chief Minister in the social media.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the central working committee of HSP which was chaired by its vice-president [administration], Tara Shrestha here.
Taking disciplinary action, HSP has suspended Pathak from the ordinary membership of the party until complete investigation on the matter concludes.
The party has also condemned the involvement of few leaders of HSP along with the CM in this fake leaflet. In the meeting it was also discussed that it could be a conspiracy to defame the name of HSP party and its leaders.
