The All Tribal Rights’ Protection Forum Manipur (ATRPFM) is all set to present issues confronting the hill districts of Manipur at a national level conclave to be held at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand from November 14 to 19.

The ATRPFM on Wednesday disclosed that the forum has been invited to participate at the ‘Samvaad-Tribal Conclave’.

In this regard, a one-day consultative meeting was organized on Wednesday by the ATRPFM at the Tribal Research Institute in Imphal which was well-attended by several tribal intellectuals of the State.

The consultative meeting dwelt at length on the ‘Amendment of the Manipur (Village Authorities in Areas) Act, 1956, apart from other issues related to the hill districts of the State.

The participants had elaborate discussion on several issues faced by the tribal people and proposed suggestions to be taken up at the tribal conclave in Jamshedpur.
