In continuation of the Government of Manipur’s initiative of ‘Go to Village’ Mission and its 16th Mission Camp in respect of Kamjong District was held at Mapum Village, Sahamphung Sub-Division which is about 60 Kms from the Kamjong District Headquarters with Secretary (TA & Hills) Athem Muivah as Chief Guest on Tuesday.

Kamjong district headquarters is located about 120 km north east of Imphal.

Deputy Commissioner Kengoo Zuringla of Kamjong District, ADC member Yangmi Shimray of Chatric also attended the Go to Village camp which covered four villages of Mapum, Zingsui, Pushing and Ronshak.

Representatives from 15 different departments participated in the camp and delivered different services to the villagers.

The Health and Family Welfare Department examined and provided free treatment to 50 villagers and also made laboratory test available for malaria to villagers.

The District Administration, Kamjong representing the Revenue Department provided 80 certificates to 45 villagers.

Mention may be made here that aadhaar cards of 15 new villagers were enrolled till the end of the programme and the aadhaar team were made to stay back as more are yet to be enrolled.

Different departments distributed forms for various schemes where Social Welfare Department distributed 60 forms, Fishery Department distributed 30 forms, United Bank of India Ukhrul branch distributed 50 forms for opening of new account, Forest Department distributed 12 forms for new saplings, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj distributed 40 PMAY forms and CAF and PD distributed 44 PMUY forms.

About 300 villagers participated with great enthusiasm and showed gratitude to the Government of Manipur for taking up such innovative initiatives.

Churachandpur:  Camps were held at different parts of Churachandpur under 23-Muallum DCC and K K Haotak under Kangvai TD Block covering 15 Villages.

Camps were opened for Zabellei under 23-Muallum DCC which covered 4 villages (Zabellei, S Munpi, Molbungjang and K Thenjol) and whereas for Keirap Khullen Haotak under Kangvai TD Block 11 villages were covered (K K Haotak, N Chingphei, Laimanai Kabui, Motjang, K Geljang, Pangjang, L Semol, Langjingmanbi, Hengkapkot, Thumkhonglok and S Lonphai)

Various entitlements like registration of Job-Cards, PMAY forms, Domicile-Residential/Tribe/Income Certificates, School materials (Shoes, Blackboards & Water Filters), Sports Materials, Vermicompost materials, agriculture materials etc were distributed to beneficiaries at the camps by SDO/BDOs of concerned Blocks,District Handlooms & Textiles, Social Welfare, Education, Medical, Forest Department, ZEO, ADCC, Vety & AH etc.

The District Medical Department also conducted separate screening for immunization and diabetes. Besides opening camps, the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department also conducted animal vaccination drive on the spot.
