Bengali hardliner political party Amara Bangali on Saturday stage massive protest in Agartala of Tripura against the killing of five Bengali people in neighbouring Assam.

At least five people were killed in cold blood by unidentified gunmen in eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district on Thursday evening.
In Tripura capital, Agartala, supporters of the Amara Bangali protested against the killing as they raised question against the ruling BJP government in Assam and alleged that in the name of NRC they are hatching a conspiracy to oust the Bengali population.
They also burned the effigy of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to show their protest against his government and the killing.
The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also raised question against the Sarbananda Sonowal’s government and the Trinamool Congress also took out rallies across the State against the killing.
Meantime, earlier several Bengali organizations had called for a 12-hour bandh in Tinsukia district to protests the killings.
