Childhood memories are always special. But if the innovative activities of a child are kept and maintained by others, that childhood memory becomes a matter of pride for the child in his or her adulthood.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who passed a memorable childhood doing innovative things, has such a remarkable memory.
Rijiju, who did his schooling in the Govt Secondary School, Nafra in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, made an Indian map in his school campus when he was just a student of Class IV.
Union Minister Rijiju through his Twitter handle has revealed that he made the map without using scale.
Stating that the “culture of love for the nation since childhood encourages the youths to serve the country”, Rijiju informed, the map has still been maintained by the teachers and students of the school.
However, the map has partially damaged.
Union Minister Rijiju, who passed out from the Govt Secondary School, Nafra, stated that during his school days, there were no roads, electricity and connectivity in the area.
However, the Union Minister on his Twitter stated that he would visit his school on Children’s Day (November 14) or Teacher’s Day (September 5).
He also stated that he would help the school authority to improve the quality of the map.
While uploading the India map he made in his school, Rijiju tweeted on Saturday: “I made this INDIA MAP when I was in class 4 at Govt Secondary School, Nafra. I’m beholden to the teachers & students for maintaining it though partially damaged now. I’ll try to visit the school on Children’s Day or Teacher’s Day.”
He further tweeted: “As a class 4 student I made it without using scale but now I’ll help the school to improve the quality of this India map. Those days there were no roads, no electricity, no connectivity.”

Earlier on October 17 while sharing a video of Nafra town, where the school is situated, Rijiju stated: “This is the very remote and small Nafra town where I spent the “best time of life”. I passed out from the Govt Secondary School here. Due to strong wind the video picture appears bit distorted.”
