“With the high hope of initiating the development of Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) area under sabka saath sabka vikaash slogan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has tied the knot of alliance with the BJP. But even after two years of formation of the BJP government in both the Centre and the State, the government has not sanctioned the required fund for expediting the pace of development of BTAD area. It is very unfortunate for the people of BTAD area but we are still hopeful that the BJP government will sanction the required fund without any further delay ,” said Executive Member of BTC, Jagadish Sarkar while addressing a foundation laying function at Mudoibori in Udalguri district of Assam on Sunday.

Laying the foundation of the proposed Mudoibori – Chapai chowk connecting road at the cost of Rs 100 lakhs, he also reiterated the committment of the BPF towards the people and said that the BPF shall never make any compromise in the interest of the BTAD areas.

Earlier, he laid the foundation of the construction of the boundary wall and field development works at Rupkonwar ME School, Hindi LP School and Refugee LP School at Beltoli near Kalaigaon.

Significantly, Executive Member Jagadish Sarkar also appealed to the party workers to strengthen the BPF party activities in view of the ensuing parliamentary and panchayat polls.
