The Assam government on Sunday, donated Rs 3 crore financial assistance for the relief activities in flood-ravaged Kerala.

The death toll due to the devastating rains and floods in Kerala increased to 370, as two more deaths were reported on Sunday with rescue operations continuing in the worst affected districts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Thrissur.

Arunachal Pradesh joined the other northeastern states in extending all possible help and support to the relief activities in Kerala.

Chief Minister, Pema Khandu has announced Rs 3 crore as immediate assistance from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the Kerala flood.

In a tweet, Khandu said that the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Kerala have a very strong bond since long. In this trying time, we are with the families of all the victims of the flood.

Manipur Chief Minister, N Biren Singh led BJP government donated a sum of Rs 2 crores as relief funds to the flooded-affected state of Kerala.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has also announced Rs 1 crore to Kerala disaster relief fund.

It may be mentioned that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had on Saturday announced financial package of Rs 500 crore to the flood-ravaged state, in addition to the Rs 100 crore announced by Home Minister Rajnath Singh last week.
