As many as nine Tripura Police personnel are getting the police medal for distinguished service and police medal for meritorious service on the occasion of the 72nd Independence Day.
As per the Union Home ministry’s list of the policemen for the medals include DIG (Southern Range) Arindam Nath (IPS) has been approved President’s police medal for distinguished service on the occasion of Independence Day, 2018.
For the President’s police medal for meritorious service include police inspector Pradyut Chandra Datta, sub-inspectors Partha Chakraborty, Dipendra Das, Nayeb Subedar of TSR, women inspector Ela Deb, inspector Bijoy Sen, Nayeb Subedar of TSR, Sajal Bhowmik of 9th battalion, Nayeb Subedar of TSR, Pradip Roy and police head-constable K Jrishna Chandra Das.
For President’s Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for meritorious Service Independence day, 2018, two Home Guard jawans were also named and they are Bikash Chakma and Madhav Chakraborty.
