NPP opens Tirap office

The Tirap district office of the National People’s Party (NPP) was inaugurated by the Arunachal Pradesh party President Gicho Kabak in presence of NPP legislators Tirong Aboh, Rajesh Tacho, Nikh Kamin and Mutchu Mithi here.

Executive members present at the programme were State NPP vice presidents Nima Sangey Saling and Anok Wangsa, general secretaries Porchu Tamin and Kibi Kali and district President Noklam Bisai.

A bike procession of NPP workers was carried out from party office to NPP camp site where the general meeting was convened.

Bisai welcomed the gathering and told the people about the purpose of meeting. He said that people of Tirap are shifting their loyalty to NPP, which is being led by National President and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.

Kabak appealed the public to support NPP and directed the district office bearers to strengthen the party organisation in the district for the forthcoming Parliament and Assembly election.

Roing MLA Mithi said that the NPP is not just a political party but a movement towards a new era of hope and sustenance. He also appealed to the people not to believe rumours that NPP is the ‘B team of BJP’. He said NPP has its own ideology and agenda and would compete free and fair with any political party.

Sangey and Wangsa appealed to the general public to join NPP towards good governance, peace and prosperity in the State. Anini MLA Tacho Bordumsa MLA Kamin appreciated the humble nature of the people of Tirap and advised them to maintain their way of life.

Khonsa West MLA Aboh highlighted the party ideology and agenda and appealed to all to join NPP without any hesitation. The event, embellished with cultural programmes, concluded with a vote of thanks from Tirap district NPP General Secretary Hinwang Lowang. A community feast followed.

State PPA General Secretary Khunngam Sumnya, PPA Block President Wangchu Lowang along with all other office-bearers, ex-ZPM Lazu N. Hodong, ex-ASM Dadan Block HedamKamhua, ex-ASM Chamu Hakhum, ex-ASM Kothin WanghoanWangsa, ex-ASM Laho Sunwang Hakhun, ex-ASM HukanPongdi Sumnyan, ex-ASM Chinkoi Khunlo Wangno, ex-ASM Bera Khannya Nokbi, ex-GPC Moktowa Soambak Kamhua and their supporters joined NPP at the function.
