Army and police in a joint operation on Monday nabbed two over ground workers of ULFA (I) from Tingkong area in Upper Assam’s Dibrugarh district. Two suspected over ground workers have been identified as Pradeep Gosh, 30, and Puna Das, 49.
One .32 mm pistol, one magazine and four rounds of live ammunition were found on them. A case has been registered against them.
The security forces have tightened the security in the area in view of the upcoming ULFA Martyrs’ Day on July 27 and 72nd Independence Day on August 15.
