Imphal: A joint team of the CRPF, Assam Rifles, and Manipur police on Tuesday conducted a search operation and area domination at a hideout of the miscreants resulting recovery of a large number of arms ammunition, and explosives.
Manipur police report states that the joint team getting about hiding warlike stores of weapons and explosives launched the operation at the foothill of Tekcham Maning Ching under the Thoubal police station in Thoubal district on Tuesday at around 7 am.
The operation that concluded at around 9 am of the same day yielded the recovery of one Sniper Rifle with scope, a Bolt Rifle, one 9mm pistol along with a magazine, six HE-36 Hand Grenades, six Detonators, one Baofeng Radio Set, 36 live rounds, one Stun Grenade, one Stun Shell LR, one Stinger Cartridge, one Smoke Shell LR, three Dye Marker Grenades, one Tear Smoke Grenade and one Tear Gas Grenade.
The confiscated articles were handed over to the concerned police station for further legal actions, the police added.
