Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of three (3) Field Investigator for ICCSR Minor Research Project on “Participation and Representation of Women in Local Governance : A Study of Urban Local Bodies in Kamrup (Metro) , Cachar, Nagaon and Dibrugarh Districts of Assam. The appointment will be for around two months on purely temporary basis. Gauhati University is one of the premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India and one of the most sought-after postgraduate institutions. Being the oldest and the largest university in the entire Northeast, the university represents the academic and cultural background of the region, on which the other academic institutions of Northeast India started their journey. Essential qualifications: PG (with 55% marks) in Social Science
Desirable Qualification:
- Should possess excellent verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Assamese and Bengali
- Experience in data collection, especially through interview method
- Knowledge of data entry and transcription
Salary: As per ICSSR norms, Rs. 20,000/- per month
