Itanagar: Landslides have caused major disruptions on the Kebang-Babuk road in East Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

Three blockages were reported, with two already cleared by crews. One landslide involved a massive boulder.

The latest landslide struck the Kebang road around 1:00 am on Saturday. TK Company, tasked with clearing the debris, mobilized from their nearest camp in Rotung at 5:00 am and began operations.

While a portion of the landslide has been cleared, allowing one-way traffic, significant challenges remain. TK Company officials report that loose soil poses an ongoing threat.

The company will continue clearing operations until July 31st, at which point responsibility will shift to the Public Works Department (PWD).
