Guwahati: Passersby and locals of an educational institute in Jorhat came for a rude shock when they discovered the body of a 40-year-old man floating in a pond on the education campus.
The incident was reported from the Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jorhat where the body of the man is identified as Kapil Baruah, a resident of JPR in the Gar-Ali region.
The body was first noticed by a few passersby, on Saturday morning who reported the incident to the police.
Baruah has been missing since Friday from his home.
The cause of the death is yet to be identified and the body has been shifted to the nearby hospital for further investigation.
