Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Associate-II in a Department of Health Research (DHR) entitled “Basic and advance level training programmes in molecular tools used in modern biology with emphasis on healthcare” under the supervision of Dr. Sujoy Bose, Associate Professor and PI, Department of Biotechnology. Gauhati University is altogether one of the premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India and one of the most sought-after postgraduate institutions. It is the oldest and the largest university in the entire Northeast. The university represents the academic and cultural background of the region, on which the other academic institutions of Northeast India started their journey. It is the pioneer educational institute also. It also extends its hand holding support to all subsequent academic institutions in this region. Indologist and philanthropist Krishna Kanta Handiqui had been the founder Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University. Some very illustrious sons and daughters of Assam have been its alumni.

Essential Qualification :
M.Sc. in Biotechnology or allied field with minimum 60% marks and minimum of 2 years experience in Research and development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology organization.
Desirable:
- Experience in Medical and Molecular Biology or CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification
- SCOPUS indexed publications in the relevant field.
Stipend:
Rs. 35000/- + HRA to scholars who are CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualified
OR
Rs. 28000/- + HRA for others
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
