Guwahati: At least four suspected drug peddlers were arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam from the Khanapara area in Guwahati.

A police team based on specific inputs initiated an operation near a bus stop in Khanapara.

During the operation, the police nabbed four suspicious persons. 

On checking them, they found nearly 105 grams of suspected heroin worth.

The accused were found to be habitual offenders, the police said.

They were immediately arrested and were booked under the NDPS Act.

The arrested accused were identified as Ganesh Patir (24) of Lakhimpur, Sahid Hussain (27) of Hajo, Partha Pratim Medhi (23) of Baksa, and Amar Pradhan (18) of Meghalay’s Ri Bhoi district.

The police added that they seized 77 vials containing suspected Heroin weighing 105 grams.

Along with this, the police also seized five mobile phones suspected to be stolen and Rs 7,220.
