ITANAGAR: On the eve of polling for the Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections, gunfire have been reported from Longding district of the state.
Violent clashes reportedly erupted between supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the National People’s Party (NPP), escalating political tensions into gunfire.
According to reports, conflict began at around 8:30 pm.
Reports claim that tension flared up after alleged BJP’s collaboration with NSCN to seize control of a polling booth.
