AGARTALA: Counting of votes for the recently concluded Tripura assembly elections is underway.
The counting of votes began at 8 am on Thursday (March 2).
Voting process for the Tripura assembly elections was held in a single phase on February 16.
In Tripura, early trends show a comfortable lead for the BJP.
Tripura, which voted on February 16, recorded an overall voter turnout of nearly 90 per cent.
Adequate security arrangements have been made in Tripura to ensure the peaceful counting of votes.
Counting of votes of 60 assembly constituencies is being held in 21 counting locations across Tripura.
