Meghalaya government in process to implement state education policy

The Nagaland Government said only vaccinated students will be allowed to attend normal or offline classes.

The government said that students above the age of 15 will be allowed to attend the classes but this will have to be after they take at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19.

In a directive on Wednesday, the principal director of school education, Shanavas C, said the conducting of normal classes for students up to Class VIII stands suspended till January 31.

He said the schools may resume the conduct of online classes for students of Classes I to VIII and IX.

The department said admission for students of Classes I and above will be done as per the schedule notified vide the official notification on December 15, 2021.

All the heads of all high and higher secondary schools, both government and private, under the state board have been asked to submit the number of students enrolled in their schools in the age group of 15 to 18 at the activity tab provided at the school monitoring portal https://school.dosenl.in/ on or before January 14.

The department also directed all the heads of all schools, both government and private, under the CBSE and ICSE to submit the number of students enrolled in their schools in this age group through email to [email protected] on or before January 14.

It said notification on organising a special vaccination drive for students in the age group of 15 to 18 will be issued after ascertaining the number of students enrolled.

The department said the safety of the COVID vaccine on children aged 15 and above has been certified by the competent authority. 

It advised all the parents to get their children in this age group voluntarily vaccinated for Covid-19 at the nearest government Covid-19 vaccination centres free of cost as per the schedule notified by the health and family welfare department.
