PSO

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the BJP workers in the state do not need PSOs (Personal Security Officers) because they have never done anything “bad”.

Speaking to the BJP workers the Chief Minister said, “PSO is a Congressi culture and hence we do not need PSOs.”

He added that there is no need for the PSOs to open the door of their cars.

“Why should a PSO open our door when we talk about Lachit Borphukan in our daily lives. We have the power of Lachit and so we can open our doors”, he added.

The CM further said that the PSO culture was brought by Congress which should always be avoided.

He added, “I know that this was a Congress culture as I too was a member once. I will tell you more things which belong to the Congress and you should not do.”

He claimed that he can withdraw the PSOs of the BJP members but he will not do so.

He said that he wanted a recommendation or an application from the State BJP president asking him to remove the PSOs of the party workers.
