At a time when children like to celebrate their birthdays with fun and frolic and cutting cakes at home, a 10-year-old boy from Pathsala in Assam‘s Bajali district decided to celebrate his birthday on Saturday in a unique way.
In order to spread awareness about global warming, the 10-year-old child from Pathsala town planted saplings to mark his birthday celebration.
Mousam Khataniar, a 10-year-old student of Christjoyti School, Pathsala, planted saplings in Belona village, the cleanest and green village of Assam.
He planted 10 saplings in the village to spread his message on the serious effects of global warming on mother earth.
Mousam Khataniar said, “Due to Covid restrictions at my home, this year I can’t celebrate my birthday with my friends.”
“Instead of celebrating my birthday at home, I decided to make the people aware about global warming and the air pollution as it is affecting public health,” he said.
The villagers expressed thanks to Mousam Khataniar and wished him a better future and good health.
