The Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangh (RSS) is planning to expand its base in the Northeast states and Kashmir by the end of 2025.

The matter of expanding RSS base in the Northeast states and Kashmir was discussed during the organisation’s three-day national executive committee meeting.

This was informed by RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale.

Notably, the RSS has a minimal presence in the Northeast states and Kashmir.

The RSS will be celebrating its 100 years of existence in the year 2025.

Meanwhile, amid rising prices of fuel in the country, the RSS suggested the government to work on alternative energy sources.

RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale also expressed displeasure over banning firecrackers on Diwali, saying one festival shouldn’t be singled out and a consensus approach be adopted.
