An activist of the National Bajrang Dal is among three persons arrested by the police in Assam’s Dhubri district for allegedly possessing large quantity of drugs. 

The arrested National Bajrang Dal activist has been identified as 26-year-old Rahul Prasad. 

The other two arrested person have been identified as: Rakesh Das and Abu Taleb. 

The arrests were made following a raid by Dhubri Police in Assam at the residence of Rahul Prasad in the wee hours of Sunday, which was based on specific inputs. 

Contraband tablets and other objectionable substances were recovered in the raid.

According to police, Rahul Prasad and Rakesh Das are habitual offenders and were arrested earlier also for drugs supply. 

A case has been registered against the arrested trio under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
