All the 39 nominations filed for the upcoming bye-polls to Assam Legislative Assembly have been found valid on Monday after due scrutiny, the election department said.
The last day for withdrawal of nominations as notified by the Election Commission of India is October 16, 2021, and voting is scheduled to be held on October 30, 2021, the department said in a statement.
Party wise total numbers of candidates for the five constituencies–Bhabanipur, Gossaigaon, Mariani, Tamulpur and Thowra are as follows:

Indian National Congress (INC): 5
Communist Party of India (CPI): 1
All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF): 2
United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL): 2
Bodoland People’s Front (BPF): 1
Voters Party International: 3

Gana Suraksha Party: 2
