The Karbi Anglong police have seized a huge quantity of Heroin from an SUV vehicle along the Assam-Nagaland border in East Karbi Anglong.
As per reports, the Karbi Anglong police, acting on specific information, on Wednesday intercepted a bolero vehicle bearing registration number MN 01S 1680 in front of Lahorijan Patrol Post.
Police team during searches recovered 50 soap cases containing 646 grams of heroin from the vehicle.
The soap boxes were meticulously hidden inside the rear tail light of the vehicle.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the drugs were carried from Manipur and were suppose to be delivered at Guwahati.
Two people identified as Ngamsei Haokip, 30 and Letkholal, 47, have been arrested in connection with the incident. Both are residents of Manipur.
The operation was carried by a team of police led by Lahorijan PP SI Manujjal Gogoi.
