A Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) office opened at the airport road in Imphal Saturday.
SBA National Convener and Director of the centre’s tribal co-operative marketing development federation Yashwant Singh Darbar inaugurated the office.
Speaking on the occasion at the Manipur State Film Development Society auditorium, Yashwant pointed out that SBA aims to ensure cleanliness and make all states open-defecation free India by October 2, 2019, reports TOI.
He added that SBA offices will be opened in all the northeastern states. Sources said Nagaland and Mizoram might be the next in line to have SBA offices of their own.
