In a major success, Arunachal Pradesh Police has managed to re-arrest two more under trial prisoners, who escaped from the Pasigaht judicial jail on July 11. 

The two re-arrested escapees have been identified as Abhijeet Gogoi and Subhash Mondal. 

While Abhijeet Gogoi was re-arrested from Jonai, Subash Mandol was nabbed at Leku-Jhelum area. 

Both, Abhijeet Gogoi and Subhash Mondal are known notorious criminals. While, Gogoi is an alleged drug peddler, Mondal is under trial in relation with a murder case.

On the evening of July 11, as many as seven prisoners lodged in the Pasigaht judicial jail in Arunachal Pradesh managed to break free and escape.   

With the re-arrest of Abhijeet Gogoi and Subhash Mondal, the number of escapees re-arrested thus far has risen to three. 

Meanwhile, manhunt is underway to nab the remaining four escapees. 

On Monday, one of the escapees – Kalen Apang – was re-arrested from Mirbuk village at around 11.30pm on Monday.
