A total of 131 cases of Delta Plus variant of Covid19 has been detected in Tripura.

According to media reports, the health department of Tripura sent a total of 151 samples to be tested at Kalyani Laboratory in West Bengal.

It has been reported that out of the 151 samples, 138 samples tested Delta Plus variant while 10 and 3 samples tested Delta variant and Alpha variant, respectively.

Meanwhile, Tripura reports 3 more Covid19 deaths and 531 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Of the cases, 34 were confirmed during RT-PCR test while 497 were confirmed during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).

The state’s positivity rate stood at 6.62% on Friday.

A total of 429 patients recovered from the disease on Friday.

Out of 531 positive patients, West Tripura reported 129 cases, Sepahijala 34, Gomati 53, North Tripura 28 Khowai 38, Unakoti 111, Dhalai 53 and South Tripura reported 85 cases.

India reported a total of 43,393 new Covid19 cases in the last 24 hours.

India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,58,727.

The country’s active cases constitute 1.49% of the total cases.

The country recorded a total of 2,98,88,284 recoveries across the country so far

A total of 44,459 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 97.19% on Friday, the Union health ministry said.
