Manipur: 15 more COVID-19 patients die, nearly 600 new cases detected

Manipur’s COVID-19 situation continues to be grim as the State on Monday logged as many as 15 deaths relating to the deadly disease.        

With these 15 new COVID-19 deaths, Manipur’s COVID-19 death tally has risen to 896.       

On the other hand, Manipur registered nearly 600 new COVID-19 cases.        

As many as 598 new COVID-19 cases have emerged in Manipur.

Of these 598 new cases, 292 are male and 306 are female.     

With the detection of these 598 new COVID-19 cases, Manipur’s active cases tally has jumped to 8984.       

Of the total 8984 active COVID-19 cases in Manipur, 8979 are from the general public and 5 are from the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces deployed in the State. 

Meanwhile, the total COVID–19 cases in Manipur have also risen to 55828.

As many as 783 persons have also recovered from COVID-19.           

Manipur’s COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 82.30%.
