A talented actor from Nagaland, Lanuakum Ao has drawn attention of all after being a part of the Amazon Prime web series The Last Hour.
Ao, who hails from from Longsa village in Mokokchung, is playing the role of a character, Thapa.
The web series stars Sanjay Kapoor, Raima Sen, Karma Takapa, Shaylee Krishen and Shahana Goswami in the important roles.
The Last Hour, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime, has a rating of 7.9 on IMDb.
The story of the web series goes like this: A Mumbai cop, Arup (Sanjay Kapoor), who has returned to the Northeast, gets assigned a murder case.
A couple of locals are shown to be on the run with one of them (Karma Takapa as Dev) being an archer in the wilderness.
Arup and his team soon see their investigation turning into a wild shaman chase as they find themselves on a trail of murders and sexual assault in the name of supernatural magic.
The stage is set for the antagonist introduction.
In this case, two of them – Yama Nadu (Robin Tamang) and his right-hand man, Thapa (Lanuakum Ao) – with the former being on a quest to claim Dev’s superpower.
From the first episode, it’s clear that The Last Hour is less about cops and more about the world of these shamans.
Ao was also a part of an Ao Naga film ‘Vendetta’ and Amazon Original’s international project NSR: The Jade.
According to a media report, Ao will be seen next in an Ayushmann Khurrana starrer feature film directed by Anubhav Sinha.
