The BSF has seized contraband items worth Rs 2.76 lakh in Tripura. 

The items were seized on Monday, based on specific BSF intelligence inputs. 

A joint special depth patrolling party comprising of BSF troopers of Border Out Post Karamtila and Border Out Post Amlighat in Tripura recovered large quantity of cannabis (Ganja) and Phensidyl. 

The items were recvered from the border area under Sabroom Sub-Division.

The BSF troopers recovered 45 kgs of Ganja and 275 Bottles of Phensidyl from forest area. 

Value of seized Ganja is worth Rs 2,25,000 and Phensidyl is Rs 51,328.75.  

“The total market value is Rs 2,76, 328.75 (Two lakh seventy six thousand three hundred twenty eight Rupees and seventy five paise),” the BSF said in a statement. 

The seized items have been handed over to Police of PS Manu bazar (South Tripura) for further investigation.
