Manipur on Monday registered record 13 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

These 13 new deaths have pushed Manipur’s COVID-19 death toll up to 489. 

“In the last 24 hours, 13 persons aged 42 years (female, Imphal East), 43 years (male, Imphal West), 48 years (male, Imphal West), 46 years (male, Chandel), 92 years (female, Thoubal), 73 years (male, Thoubal), 60 years (female, Imphal West), 65 years (male, Imphal West), 39 years (male, Bishnupur), 33 years (female, Kakching), 66 years (male, Imphal West), 72 years (female, Imphal West) and 62 years (male, Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity (1), Shija Hospital (2), DH Chandel (1), DH Thoubal (1), JNIMS (1), RIMS (7) hospitals respectively,” read a statement from the Manipur Health Department.

On the other hand, as many as 424 new COVID-19 cases have emerged in Manipur. 

Of these 424 new cases, 212 are male and 202 are female. 

Meanwhile, 10 personnel belonging to the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces deployed in the State have also tested positive for COVID-19. 

With the detection of these 424 new COVID-19 cases, Manipur’s active cases tally has jumped to 4604.

Of the total 4604 active COVID-19 cases in Manipur, 4422 are from the general public and 182 are from the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces deployed in the State.   

Meanwhile, the total COVID–19 cases in Manipur have also risen to 35778.   

Meanwhile, as many as 87 persons have also recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.   

Manipur’s COVID-19 recovery rate has further dropped to 85.76%.
