India’s COVID-19 scenario continues to be grim.
As many as 3780 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in India in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest ever daily fatalities recorded in India.
This has pushed the total fatalities in India up to 2,26,188.
Moreover, as many as 3,82,315 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The new cases have seen a jump after two days of decline.
With this India’s total COVID-19 caseload has crossed the 2.06 crore-mark.
Maharashtra – which has been the worst-hit state since last year – 51,880 new cases took the total caseload to over 48.22 lakh.
891 people also died of COVID-19 in Maharashtra on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded 338 COVID-19 deaths and 19,953 cases in a day with a positivity rate of 26.73 percent, according to the health bulletin issued by the Delhi health department on Wednesday morning.
India is second only to the United States in regards to the total number of cases reported since the pandemic broke last year.

India is also facing a massive oxygen crisis with many hospitals in many parts of the country running dry.
Many COVID-19 patients have also lost their lives due to shortage of medical oxygen in hospitals.
The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday observed that the death of COVID-19 patients due to non-supply of oxygen is a criminal act and “not less than a genocide”.
