Nagaland CM's advisor Abu Metha at the music festival in Wokha in Nagaland

Nagaland will host the first ever Asia Music Festival Summit at Konia in Cyprus.

Disclosing this on the concluding of the two-day Music Festival at Doyang Tourist Resort in Wokha on Sunday night, adviser to Nagaland chief minister, Abu Metha said participants, experts, resource persons, music bands and renowned musicians from over two dozen countries will participate in this global event.

Acoustic Club, Wokha, in collaboration with TaFMA organised the two-day music festival on the theme “Doyang Rhythms, Music by the Lake”.

Altogether 15 local artistes and bands from Wokha and one guest band took part in the music festival.

The Task Force Music and Arts (TaFMA) of Nagaland will pick up the best musicians from Wokha to participate in the festival, Metha said.

He asked the musicians to utilize their talent and ability to achieve their dream.

Metha hoped that the music festival has a tremendous scope to become a much bigger event in the years to come.

“The scope and the potential is there, the location is mind-blowing and we all know, we have tremendous amount of talent,” he stated.

Metha added that the state government with the guidance of TaFMA is taking up various initiatives to ensure that the talent reaches its potential.
