The Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles has recovered 124 grams of heroin from Thenzawl in Mizoram’s Aizawl.
A team of Assam Rifles jawans and officials of the Mizoram excise and narcotics department conducted an operation at Thenzawl on April 14 and recovered the narcotics.

Three individuals have also been detained for possessing the contraband.
The heroin seized is estimated to be worth Rs 55,80,000 in the market.
The Assam Rifles in collaboration with the excise and narcotics department also recovered 75 grams of heroin at HuntharVeng in Aizwal earlier this month.
The market value of the heroin was Rs 33,75,000.
