The Congress has accused the BJP workers of attacking the party’s offices at Lakhimpur in Eastern Assam.

In a live session in social media, Congress’ candidate from Lakhimpur constituency – Joy Prakash Das has accused the BJP of vandalising party offices of the Congress in Telahi.

Joy Prakash Das further alleged that unruly BJP workers also intimidated Congress supporters in Telahi.

“The BJP is using its gunda force to intimidate Congress supporters. I would like to draw the attention of Election Commission into the matter”, Joy Prakash Das said in his social media post.

Das further in his live session in the social media showed the quantum of damage in the alleged attack on Congress offices in Telahi by BJP workers.

Moreover, the Congress candidate from Lakhimpur constituency Joy Prakash Das accused the BJP workers of intimidating the locals for assisting in Congress’ campaign.

Joy Prakash Das alleged that BJP workers intimidated the boatmen engaged in transporting him in the riverine areas of Lakhimpur.

Das made this accusation during his live session in the social media on the banks of Subansiri River.

Das had to “remain stranded” on the banks of Subansiri River all night on Thursday, as the boat he was supposed to board was “detained by the BJP workers”.
