Guwahati City FC Academy on Sunday won Guwahati Sports Association’s 1st Talent Hunt U13 All Guwahati Inter Coaching Centre Football League 2021 as they beat Narengi FCC 3-1 in the final.

The thrilling final encounter was held at Sarusajai Practice Ground of IGA stadium.

Guwahati City FC took the lead with defender Aryan Kishore Yadav scoring twice and midfielder Pritam Brahma added one.

Manas Das scored one for Narengi FCC in the injury time.

Guwahati City FC midfielder Pritam Brahma was awarded the best player of the tournament trophy.

Aryan Kishore Yadav of Guwahati City FC was adjudged the best defender while Ayan Ahmed of Guwahati City FC was declared the best goalkeeper.

Dibyapratim Basumatary of Guwahati City FC won the top-scorer trophy with 9 goals.

“A total of 37 players were also selected from the tournament for one-month coaching camp for Guwahati district team which will be organized by the GSA for the state championship,” said Guwahati City FC in a statement.

Moloy Bora, commissioner of sports & youth welfare department, was present on the occasion as the chief guest and encouraged the budding Footballers.

Dhrubajyoti Kalita, general secretary, Guwahati Sports Association, Sunmita Bora, NRL officer, Krishanjan Chanda, principal, Southpoint School, ex-international player Debashish Roy, ex-state player Motilal Das, Bikram Rabha and Gautam Dutta, vice-president, Assam Lawnball Association were also present on the occasion.

All eight participating teams were presented with mementos.
