In a sensational incident a youth committed suicide in Karimganj on Thursday night after posting a photograph of him tied with a ceiling fan in the social media. Before committing suicide the youth pointed an accusing finger at some of the officials of Karimganj police for their alleged sex scandal involving his wife.
Protyay Das, a DJ by profession, committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence in Karimganj town. In his post in social media, Protyay wrote about his love for wife whom he could not forget despite her infidelity. He also appealed to the administration to punish those whom he named in his social media post and took a selfie before committing suicide.
Protyay’s wife had filed a domestic violence case against him after the sex scandal expose in the month of October. Three police personnel involved in the scandal were also suspended.
