With the fuel prices rising continuously across the country for the 11th consecutive day on Friday, the popular dairy giant Amul has released a topical on the same.

The doodle shows the Amul girl refilling her fuel tank while staring at the reading on the meter with a concern.

“Painfuel increase!” the text on the poster reads. “Amul Affordable taste,” it adds.

The dairy brand shared the doodle on Twitter, which has garnered more than 6,800 likes and over 2,000 retweets.

Netizens have applauded the diary brand for standing up for the common man.

One user said, “der aaye durust aaye.” Another wrote, “Wah. Standing for common man!” A third user said, “Finally! Amul came out with a much-needed message!”

The price of regular petrol crossed the Rs 90 mark for the first time in Delhi on Friday.

As per Indian Oil Corporation, the petrol prices in the national capital has been raised by 34 paise while diesel witnessed 32 paise increase on Friday.

The diesel price soared to Rs 80.60 per litre. In the last 11 days, the price has gone up by Rs 3.26 per litre for petrol while the diesel rate has risen by Rs 3.81 a litre in the national capital region.

In Mumbai, petrol price rose to Rs 96.62 on Friday while diesel costs Rs 87.67 per litre.
