A total 2,160 teachers and employees of newly-povincialised educational institutions of the 4 districts under Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) received appointment letters on Monday during a programme at Kokrajhar.

The appointment letter distribution programme for the teachers and employees of a number of schools and colleges from Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri districts was held at the BTC Secretariate Field in Bodofa Nwgwr.

Organised by the education department of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), the event was attended by chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro as the chief guest.

Boro handed over the appointment letters to the teachers.

A total of 443 appointment letters were distributed among employees and teachers of high schools, higher secondary schools, senior secondary schools and 1,559 appointment letters were distributed to teachers and employees of elementary, LP and UP schools.

Appointment letters were also distributed among 158 employees and teachers of colleges under the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

The programme was attended by Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania, BTR executive members and MCLAs (Member of Council Legislative Assembly) of BTC.
